âď¸ Funeral Ceremony for Late Mrs Cecilia Okon Akpan
The death has been announced of Mrs. Cecilia Okon Akpan, mother-in-law to Dr. Johnson Akpanpkan of the Department of Music. She will be buried on August 10, 2024.
âď¸ Funeral Ceremony for Late Lady Julia Pius Udoudoh
Lady Julia Pius Udoudoh, Prof. Francis Udoudoh's mother, has died. She will be buried on August 16, 2024.
âď¸ Buying a Coastal Bus/Moulding of Blocks to Fence the Clubâs Perimeter
The Club recently acquired a coastal bus at a federal government-approved auction for UNIUYO. We need two million naira ( âŚ2,000,000.00) to restore the bus to working condition.
To address this, the Club Executive Committee has established a fundraising committee with a goal of raising six million naira ( âŚ6,000,000.00). This amount will cover the bus repairs and the construction of a perimeter fence. The members of the fundraising committee are:

âď¸ Burial of the Mother-In-Law to Mr. Ekerete Adiaiduo
Our member, Mr. Ekerete Adiaiduo, lost his mother-in-law, Deaconess Hannah Patrick Udoh. We pray that the Lord will grant the family strength during this difficult period. May her soul find rest in the blossom of the Lord, Amen.
âď¸ Funeral Ceremony of Mr Nyanga I Nyanga
The Club was represented at the funeral service of our former president, Mr. Nyanga I Nyanga, at Eket Local Government Area. The Clubâs president, Engr. Dr. Otoabasi Ansa, led the delegation to the funeral. We pray that God grants him eternal rest. Amen.
âď¸ Visitation to the Country Home of Prof Trenchad Okon Ibia
Prof. Trenchard Okon Ibia, a past president of the Club, entertained the Club at his country home in Urua LGA. Members visited Prof. on their way back from the funeral of Mr. Nyanga.
âď¸ Election of Aniekan Imo Peter as NMA Chairman, Akwa Ibom
The Club celebrates its own Dr. Aniekan Imo Peterâs election as Chairman of the Nigeria Medical Association, Akwa Ibom Chapter, for a tenure period of 2 years. We know that you will bring your vast experience to running the NMA and we congratulate you on this achievement.
âď¸ Prof Grace Ekong Professorial Thanksgiving
The Club was present at Prof Grace Ekongâs Professorial Thanksgiving Service. Prof was thanking God for her ascension to the rank of Professor of Music. The event was widely attended, as it had in attendance the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Nyadoh Ndaeyo, and two past Vice Chancellors, in the persons of Prof. Eniefiok Essien and Prof. Comfort Ekpo. The president, Engr. Dr. Otoabasi Ansa, led the Club delegation.
âď¸ Prof Anthony Ujene Birthday Celebration
The Dean of Environmental Studies, Prof. Anthony Ujene, marked his birthday at the Club. Prayers were offered to God for his continual blessing in his life and that of his family.
